Gathering Intentions.

After 2 false starts, when the yarn I had chosen was the wrong colour to show the cables, I have finally started Gathering Intentions from Fiona Ellis's book Inspired Cable Knits.
I am using Dalegarn freestyle chunky aran in lavender blue and had to drop a whole needle size to get gauge.

This is my first ever cable knit (I don't count the one Fetching I made!) and it is going great .. so far! I have learnt to cable without a cable needle as it was a pain fiddling about with a little needle I kept losing! I hope it will look as good as some of these cable projects on this blog.
